After 10 years of "service" the database of European Scout centres is going through a process of modernisation and updates. This will last until 1 February 2013 and no changes would be possible until that date. Thank you for understanding and we're looking forward to be able to promote more and better Scout Centres across the Region.

| The Sea Scout Centre is located on an island in Western Croatia, in a pine forest close to the beach, 3 km from the city of Pula. Pula is easy accesible by bus, train, plane or boat through international lines. The centre is situated 5 km from the nearest train station, 8 km from the airport, 1 km from the local bus station and 4 km from the international bus station. The island is connected with the land by regular ship line (15 min. travel). | Staff members will have a great opportunityto meet new friends, share experiences and learn new skills while helping foreign scout groups. usually there are 150-250 scouts at the centre from all over Europe between 10th of July and 10th of August, and 100-200 scouts during the rest of the summer. Scouts are expected to be responsible, pleasant and helpful to other scouts. You must participate in staff training course. As a staff member you will have the opportunity to lead different activities (canoeing, sailing, scubadiving, rock climbing, navigation, ecology, orienteering, etc.), a chance to facilitate workshops (ecology, campfire, dancing) and to assist, prepare and lead hikes. According to your personal affinities you can choose activities or workshops you would like to lead, or you can start your own activity. Other duties include maintenance of the camp area, trash removal, repair and clean tents and fireplaces, etc. The staff will also make campfires, lead the campfire programme, buy the food, paint and repair buildings and do the night watch. The centre also leads the ecological scout project "Scout Marine Watch", as a Eurostep project. |
