10th Nippon Agoonoree - Japan

On behalf of the Scout Association of Japan, we would like to invite your National Scout Organization to attend the 10th Nippon Agoonoree at Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, from 31 July to 4 August 2008.
Below are the basic information of the Jamboree:
Date: 31 July to 4 August 2008. Participants are requested to arrive on 30 July and may leave on 5 August 2008.
Venue: Campsite of the comprehensive welfare complex “Village of Happiness” in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. About 50 Km west of Osaka and 600 Km west of Tokyo
Fee: The fee is approximately USD290.00 per person. The fee covers inland transportation, food, troop/patrol equipment and educational tour and home hospitality programme.
Eligibility: The Agoonoree programmes are designed for Scouts with special needs and those who are assisting the Scouts, aged 12 – 18 years old.
Participants must be a registered member and their application must be endorsed by the of the National Scout Organization.
Participation: There will be 800 Scouts and leaders from all over Japan, and about 100 Scouts and Guides and Leaders from other countries.
Climate: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius.
Equipment: Participants should bring personal camping equipment including sleeping bag, rain-wear, swimming trunks, eating kit and flash-light. Tents and cooking utensils are provided in the Agoonoree fee.
Home Hospitality: Before or after the camp, overseas participants will be offered home hospitality on request for a maximum of three (3) days.
